Edmund (Ed) Maier is a graduate of the University of Rochester with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has over 30 years of experience in technology, product and process development. Over 12 of those years were with automotive OEMs and suppliers – both domestic and overseas. Ed has been extensively engaged in leading teams engaged in product, technology, advanced manufacturing, and advanced composites development.

In addition to his automotive experience, Maier founded and profitably grew a startup compan
y engaged in the invention, manufacture and marketing of medical devices. This he sold after 10 years, moving with it to Greenville SC to run marketing and engineering for the combined companies. After that he started a consultancy to help companies improve innovation and product development skills, and works with the NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) to develop and implement Business Growth services for companies across the US.  In this role he is helping companies create innovative, high-value, new product and market opportunities.

Maier is fluent in German, and holds 8 patents. He offers product development, project management, marketing, business planning, intellectual property management and process optimization expertise. He is also a Eureka Winning Ways Business Growth Coach and Trained Brain, Certified Lean Product Development Instructor, and Systematic Inventive Thinking Method Coach.

Jonathan Garcia is a Business Growth Coach for California
Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC). His background
includes developing unique strategic approaches for business
development. He also has experience in the fundamental marketing principles necessary for success. As CMTC’s Business Growth Coach, he contributes to CMTC’s capability to assist an entire organization to increase and grow their business.


Jonathan is a former Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. employee along with other experience with automotive manufacturer suppliers. His experience gave him exposure into many industries allowing him to understand various manufacturing businesses and markets. Recently, as a partner in a software start-up, he also knows what it takes to develop ideas from concept, to reality and ultimately to sales.


He holds a BA in Economics and specialized marketing training from
California State University Los Angeles.
